Design Brief/Outcome
A couple needed a family home that could grow with their lives as required. The site while mostly flat and covered in typical beach shrubs has a dominating feature in the form of a 4.0m high dune to the rear third of the site. This presented a problem as to where best to position the proposed home. The clients wanted to disturb the site as little as possible and also have access to the rear yard. It was decided that incorporating 'Queenslander' methodology would allow the home to be raised to utilise the rear dune via a walkway for gardens and secondary entertaining. This feature also allows for future extension to the ground floor as the structure is already in place. Concept Plans
